Lady Gaga in the tracklist of the CD "2012 Grammy Nominees"

The annual Grammy Awards Nominees album features everybody who was anybody in popular music last year. Adele‘s ‘Rolling in the Deep,’ Lady Gaga‘s ‘You and I’ and Bruno Mars‘ ‘Grenade’ are among the hits included on the just-announced 2012 compilation, which hits retailers on Jan. 24, three weeks before the Feb. 12 award ceremony.

Other pop hits on the collection include Katy Perry‘s ‘Firework,’ Rihanna‘s ‘What’s My Name’ with Drake, and Taylor Swift‘s ‘Mean.’ The record also features top nominees from other genres, such as electronic artist Skrillex, rapper J. Cole, rock stars the Foo Fighters and country singer and ‘The Voice‘ judge Blake Shelton.

The final track on the album is the last song Amy Winehouse ever recorded, ‘Body and Soul,’ a duet with Tony Bennett that has a good shot at winning the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The only significant name missing from the compilation appears to be Kanye West, whose seven nominations lead the field for the 2012 Grammys.

Fans who purchase the album will be entered in a contest to win a trip to next year’s ceremony. Each CD purchased in stores or online has an entry code that can be entered online at www.grammy.com/grammyticketgame. One winner will be chosen to attend the 2013 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

"Born This Way" Goes #1 on SPIN.com

From winning the Best Album of 2011 from PopJustice yesterday, the latest album ‘Born This Way’ has once again been crowned Best Pop Album of 2011 by SPIN.com. The category included 20 albums from the past year including artists such as Jessie J, Beyoncé and Adele.

Here’s what SPIN.com had to say about the winning album:
”The year’s biggest pop album made no effort to obscure its Reagan-era inspirations: Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, that scene in Footloose where Kevin Bacon plays chicken with a tractor. But what’s even more retro is Lady Gaga’s earnestness as she pursues her social-equality agenda. Beneath the hair and makeup and arena-razing disco-metal grooves, Born This Way delivers a message that old glamazon Pete Seeger could dig: She thinks pop can still move policy, and she might be right.”
This year has been a massive achievement for Gaga and ‘Born This Way’, clocking a breaking number of awards from being the Best Album, and also for the success of her latest singles which are from ‘Born This Way’, including The Edge of Glory, Judas, Born This Way and Marry The Night. With all the greatest achievements in hand, we will be posting a special post near the end of the year to commemorate the success 2011 has been for Lady Gaga and everything that has happened.

Make sure you purchase Gaga’s latest single, Marry the Night on iTunes and Amazon and help it rise in the charts.

In the Video Discussing their collaboration with classic song, “The Lady Is A Tramp”, he told ABC News how he saw Gaga as a performer.
She’s the best. I think [she will be as big as Elvis]. She’s so spontaneous and improvised. It’s interesting about her, that any person I’ve ever met in the entertainment world, she changes from day to day. [She is] a lady playing a tramp.
