This week’s high profile hack: Lady Gaga.
Thousands of Lady Gaga’s fans’ personal information including email addresses and first/last names are now available for the taking after U.S. hacker group, “Swagsec” hacked into the pop star’s UK website. Thankfully financial records and information were not stolen.
The information while just recently made available was actually taken way back on June 27th. On top of the stolen data, Swagsec also felt it necessary to send a kind death threat the singer’s way while also labeling her “homophobic”. It goes without saying the appropriate authorities have been contacted
Lady Gaga’s lablel, Universal has officially acknowledge the hack and issued a stated “new measures” have been put in place to prevent such a hack again.
