Lady Gaga Ranked 11th Most Powerful Women In the World

There is no denying that Lady Gaga is an incredible entertainer and a passionate figure when it comes to the advocacy of the disenfranchised. She fights for the rights of the LBGT community, and looks fabulous while doing so. She has created memorable videos that have been watched billions of times on YouTube. She has taken home Grammys and Moon Men, but she is now officially more than just an entertainer and advocate — according to Forbes.

The magazine released its “100 Most Powerful Women” list and Lady Gaga was ranked 11th — ahead of Oprah Winfrey (14th) and Queen Elizabeth II (49th). All other women ranked ahead of Gaga were involved in politics or were the CEO or Chairwomen of multi-billion-dollar corporations. Gaga was also the youngest woman on the list as she is currently 25-years-old.

Sure, Lady Gaga is very influential — as she was recently named to the TIME 100 list — but is she more powerful than Oprah? Musically, Lady Gaga is certainly the most powerful woman in the business as she was named Billboard’s Artist of the Year in 2010, has sold 13 million albums and 51 million singles. But, how does this compare to being the CEO of Kraft Foods like Irene Rosenfeld — who is 10th on the list ahead of Lady Gaga?

Well now, since they explained it out in those terms, Lady Gaga definitely deserves to be on this list. Gaga basically has a license to print money, as everything she is involved with is a success from a monetary standpoint. She also dominates both traditional and social media outlets, and has an incredible "reach." Lady Gaga is approaching 13-million Twitter followers — the most on the service — and has regularly received more than 100-million views on nearly every video she has uploaded to YouTube — “Bad Romance” has 408-million views.
