"Glitter: The Fame Monster" is a theatrical musical based on the works, and background of the well-known singer, Lady Gaga. Written by the playwrite and journalist Chris Melvin, who is a Little Monster, helps to give a realistic view into the ways that Gaga has portrayed her empowering messages and her inspiration towards her fans. The musical is aspires to be on Broadway, joining with other top class musicals such as ABBA’s "Mamma Mia" and Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You’ which is currently in it’s 9th Smash Hit year.
The musical has been undergoing discussions with the Universal Music Group and Sony ATV, and pitches with Gaga’s Management have also been taking place. Eventhough Sony ATV have been interested in this new venture, it will be solely up to Gaga’s Management to make the final word, and decide whether it will make it to Broadway.
"The Fame Monster" was Gaga’s second album which was released in 2008, and Chris has stated that he decided apon the name of ‘The Fame Monster’, because The Fame/The Fame Monster era was where it all kicked off for Lady Gaga and this is where her break into the popstar culture began.
Although Born This Way is undoubtedly an instant classic, The Fame/The Fame Monster era is just a poignant in Gaga’s career – that was where she began.”
The playwrite is already working on and writing the sequel to the musical which will be based apon her smash-hit album Born This Way which was released earlier this year, in May.
A teaser is currently in the process of being filmed and will be released to everybody soon, so make sure you tune into GagaFan.Net and follow @GlitterTFM on Twitter, for more news on the musical, and to see the new teaser as soon as it’s released.
