Welcome to 2012, Gaga style. Ushering ELLE into the New Year is none other than Lady Gaga, intense and engrossing as ever.

The issue, rich with revelations about Gaga’s nine tattoos, teenage drug use and cabaret past, hits newsstands this Wednesday. But you don’t have to wait that long to get a sneak peek of the shoot.

We’ve just released our Behind the Cover video for the January issue. In it, the divine Ms Germanotta frolics and sings along to Electric Chapel as remixed by Two Door Cinema Club.

She also showcases some of spring 2012’s most coveted fashions, from an orange embroidered Alexander McQueen dress to a lavender silk organza dress by Richard Nicoll.

And remember when Gaga wore a white Simone Rocha dress with her ‘mint blonde’ hair? Back in October, the designer told us she would ‘love’ to see Gaga in the green dress.
